BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT INFO
Here are just some of the areas we will be learning about in class this year:

- Jacksonian Democracy
- Slavery
- Manifest Destiny
- Civil War and Reconstruction
- War with Native Americans

Through reading (Primary Source material), class discussions, and a steady use of technology (PowerPoint, Videos, Films), students will learn about the important people, places, and events that helped form the foundation of our country today.
Student Expectation: Students are expected to come to class prepared every day, including something to write with, a folder/binder, their school-issued chromebook, and be ready to participate.
Grading: Weighted Categories- Points
- The following assignment types will account for 85% of students’ grades each marking period:
- Tests: 100 points each
- Quizzes: Varying Points
- Projects: Varying Points
- Classwork: 20-30 points
- Quarterly Assessments will account for 15% of students’ marking period grades.

There is no set number of Total Points given for each marking period. However, I try to give 3 tests per quarter. All other categories are variable.
