Welcome to Mrs.Benoy's AP Chemistry Class.
(Room C 19)
I am looking forward to a great school year. This is my tenth year at Sayreville War Memorial High School, and I have more than twenty years of teaching experience. I have high expectations for all my students. I am asking each parent/guardian to maintain those expectations by checking with your son/daughter periodically to ensure his/her work is being done. I am available to help students individually after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
AP Chemistry is a college-level class and the class focuses on chemical elements, compounds, chemical equations, and the use and applications of the periodic table. Major topics covered include atomic theory, formula writing, chemical bonds and equations, gas laws, chemical reactions, the mole concept, and characteristics of acids and bases. Laboratory work and assessments will challenge students to be creative and to give evidence of individual study.
Students will receive my class guidelines and expectations on the first day of school. Should you have any questions or concerns, contact me at [email protected] or by school phone 732 525 5252.
