English 11 Honors

 

This course is structured to provide students with an intensive study of literary forms, vocabulary development, and analytical writing.  Through the reading of novels, dramas, short stories, and poetry, studednts will explore central themes in classic and contemporary literature.  Writing assignments focus on literary theories in application to literature, literary analysis, and research topics.  A strong focus will be placed on critical thinking skills through the reading of texts independently.
