Rooms A54/A55
Welcome to Algebra 1 CP. I am very excited to meet everyone. I am sure a lot of you are questioning how the start of a new school year, and for many of you, a new school will go. While this may all seem a bit overwhelming, we will work together and get through this successfully.
What you’ll need for class:
▪ Folder for handouts, notebook for notes
▪ Pencils
▪ You will be required to maintain a folder for this class, which will include HW, daily notes, and any handouts that are distributed during the class period. Folders with Do Now’s, guided notes and classwork/homework will remain in the classroom unless told to bring them home. DO NOT THROW ANYTHING OUT. You can use all of this material to study for any assessments.
Do Now:
▪ At the beginning of each period, you will complete the Do Now for that day and we will go over it. Do Now’s will be randomly checked, so be sure to make any necessary corrections. If you are not working on the do now, you will not receive credit for that day.
Classwork/Homework:
▪ Classwork/Homework is assigned daily and will be checked during class (all work must be shown to receive credit). Late work is not accepted for credit unless you are absent on the day that it is due.
Make Up Work:
▪ If you are absent, it is YOUR responsibility to get the notes (any missed handouts will be available when you return in the “Missed Work” bin).
▪ If you are absent the day of a quiz or test you have 1 week to make it up. If you fail to do so you will receive a zero.

Extra help is always available. Please make arrangements if you have any problems and/or questions!
